Wearing Fetish Fabrics out
You’ve decided on a fabric you like, you’ve bought an outfit or two or five or, like us, twenty or thirty over the years, and you want to wear it out to a club, a bar or just out and about. Lucky for you, it has become more fashionable lately to wear these types of fashions in public.
Leather skirts, jackets, pants, and skirts have always been trendy fashion choices albeit a bit risque. Vinyl is also commonly worn as rain jackets and trench coats. Leggings are also worn more commonly now in vinyl material, especially by celebrities and fashionistas, favored for its shiny and edgy look. Vinyl can also been seen less commonly as jeans and skirts. Latex, however, is rarely worn out in everyday wear. Furthermore fetish fashions tend to be a bit on the rare side, considered extreme wear.
The easiest and most acceptable way to wear fetish fabrics out and about is to attend a fetish party. You’ll be surrounded by other like minded people dressed similarly. It’s an environment that is friendly and accommodating.
If you’re not comfortable with wearing these fashions to the club you can always bring a bag and change when you get there. Most clubs are sensitive to this issue and provide a place, like a locker, to change and store your street garments. Another obvious choice would be to wear an overcoat or long jacket.
There are some basic rules to follow when attending a fetish event. First and foremost, no cameras. You don’t know other peoples backgrounds and preferences. They may not want their face plastered over Myspace, Facebook or other social networks or on the Internet while wearing a latex catsuit with nipple zips. Plus all clubs have strict policies about photography and it’s the quickest way to alienate yourself from the other patrons and get thrown out almost immediately.
If it’s your first time to a fetish club, you may be over eager to meet new friends. While many people are there to meet others with similar interests, don’t just jump into exchanging business cards. Chat and drink, make casual conversation, and just like anywhere else, if the moment presents itself, you may exchange contact information.
Attending a fetish club can be great fun, a way to meet other like minded people, and a way to supercharge your sex life if it gets both you and your partner excited with anticipation for the arrival back home.
If staying out late, going to clubs, and mixing about with imbibing strangers isn’t your cup of tea, there are other avenues for wearing out your fetishwear. If you are taking a trip to someplace unfamiliar, bring along an outfit. Once there, set aside some time, maybe an hour or two, to explore an area like a park, mall, or perhaps a quaint restaurant. Go there during slow times, like the early morning, or an off-hour for a restaurant. Be wary of regulatory authorities, who may be wary if you are behaving suspiciously.
While you have every right to wear what you want, where you want, you will need to do so in compliance with local ordinances (no shirt, no shoes no service) (you may not expose yourself in public). You of course may wear clothing in the material you want, but certain styles (no nipple exposure) may be dictated by local ordinances if you will be in public places – just common sense. Private establishments are free to set their own rules and the owner of the private establishment may set their own rules.
Aside from the common sense rules of public places, leave your inhibitions at home, realizing that you are not going to run into anyone you know. Take the experience as a test run. If fun, you can think of other ways to explore wearing fetish fabrics out. Combine a latex skirt with cotton blouse. Mix and match pieces for a more conservative look that is wearable.
